WHAT ELSE AM I DOING?
DECEMBER STUDIO UPDATE!
I got a good start on vocals earlier this month! Maybe 1/4th there on getting primary vocal tracks completed! Still to come: harmony & completing primary vocal tracks, keyboards, electric guitar & additional instrumentation! I'll be back at Rec Room January 5, hoping to get ever closer to completing this project!
NOVEMBER STUDIO UPDATE:
Just got the last basic track (the 14th!) done for the CD! So basic guitar & piano tracks done! I am in the studio Nov. 18th to work on a Frederick Michael's/Joe Peter's song. I also may have a 2 hour session afterwards for my project! Getting ready to do vocals & harmonica, keys & more! I am so excited!
I am doing some collaborating with Joe Peters. Frederick Michaels wrote a song called "Only Time Will Tell". Joe has written the music for the song, and he has asked me to record vocals & harmonica for it! I am really excited & have studio time scheduled for November 17th! The song will be featured on Joe's upcoming release: "Beyond Collaboration", coming soon! I'll also be singing a small part on another track as well as participate in the image for the cover art!
I was back in the studio Oct. 27th & was able to get initial tracks for 2 more songs completed! I am re-recording a song from my first project (which was a guitar-based song) on the piano! Very excited about this song & the entire project!
Coming in 2023: NEW SOUL REVIVAL!
Ok! SO....I was in the studio again on September 19th. I now have rhythm guitar tracks done for 10 songs! i am so ready to ice this cake! I will keep you posted as I begin working on vocals soon! I have an October date booked to return to Rec Room! A few times while recording, I have gotten a cool feeling of incredible depth, that what I'm doing matters, that it is being documented, preserved! Look for this to be a 2023 release!
I returned to Rec Room to continue recording on August 24th! We got the guitar tracks down for 3 more songs! This makes 6 songs that we have the rhythm guitar tracks finished on! It's looking like I may have 14 songs on this project!
I was back in the studio July 6th! Thought I had 7 songs almost ready to mix & edit. After careful consideration, I am starting over on some things. New tracks laid down to a click track & brand-new songs being recorded! Even though it seemed like a setback, it will be best in the long run! And the finished product will be better! Thanks to Gibson Wells who is doing a great job as my Recording Engineer & to Rec Room Studios!
I am really excited about 3 new songs! New Soul Revival, What's in a Tear? & Gonna Outrun the Storm! All new or newer songs! They will def be on the new project!
SO, I WAS IN THE STUDIO JUNE 22, BUT THERE WAS A POWER OUTAGE! SO, WE RESCHEDULED. WHAT DO YOU DO? I'LL BE BACK IN THERE JULY 6!
Video shoot at Rec Room June 14th! Two songs were completed! Look for new video coming in July! Also, I am back in the studio June 22nd to continue tracking on the new project!

I refuse to be defined by any one genre! As soon as I think I play Rock or that I play Americana, I write a song that defies being classified as any one style. I love this! WE HAD SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS IN THE STUDIO WITH US APRIL 9! OUR WIVES JOINED US AND GWIN, OUR GRANDAUGHTER JOINED US AS WELL! WE CAPTURED SOME GREAT HAND-CLAPS & WE GOT SOME BACK-UP VOCALS BY THE GIRLS! WE MADE GOOD PROGRESS ON THE 6 SONGS WE HAVE STARTED!
